I
have just finished writing my autobiography.
It contains such
things as me hiring Charlie Daniels to play guitar while he was still unknown, my relationship with Alan
Jackson and how I was the first songwriter in Nashville
to co-write
and pay him to sing a demo. To date, we've collaborated
on 11 songs. And the times I spent with Roy
Rogers, particularly when I introduced him to Johnny Cash.
In my 40 plus
years on Music Row, I have many personal stories to tell
in this book. There is no "smut," but
you will find many truths revealed about
what takes place behind the scenes in the
music industry.
The fans are such a huge part of our success
and, as artist, we are willing to share
ourselves as a way of further involving them
in our experiences. I hope you
enjoying reading my book and find yourself
surprised by the sensitive and humorous
personalities of your favorite celebrities
and heroes.
